President Obama's address to the nation

I only have a couple comments regarding the outfits worn after hours on the House floor.

Nancy Pelosi-Nooooooooooo... she was once the Armani suit poster girl was wearing a sweater tent in a unflattering color. I think either she is fighting with her husband who usually buys her clothes or Mr. Armani, which I seriously wouldn't recommend. Sweetie make up with them, pronto.

First Lady Michelle Obama-interesting choice of a sleeveless dress. I liked the color very much. I loved that she coordinated with the young lady from SC. Hugs

Hillary Clinton: love the Lilly Pulitzer pink jacket. woohoo, Hill brought the color tonight.

Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee..honey we love love you, but it's time really to change your hair. Please, things can work out a lot better for you than when Cynthia McKinney let go of her old do. I'm just saying.

Justice Ginsburg: just happy to see you and your doily.

Congratulations to Joe and Jill Biden ya both are still snappy age appropriate power couple dressers.

  1. Oooohhh. Giggle giggle squeal. This blog is finally a reality. I'm most excited about this.

Now, I will reiterate my comment regarding Nancy's poor choice of sweater-thingy for the presidential address. Darling hubby and I were watching on CSpan and the way the camera was angled, all we could really focus on was the two giant orbs floating above and to the right of President Obama's head (and yes, I'm referring to Madame Speaker's boobs). I realize this was a semi-casual address, but someone really needs to convey to her that she has to project a certain image, and Hot Mama in Charge isn't it.

  2. Agreed! Someone on facebook posted a note that she looked hammered.. I actually was starting to think that, what with all the hoping up ever 5...or maybe that's how she thought she could loose those post inauguration 15..

  3. Yes, they need to reposition the cameras at a different angle so those distracting eye magnets aren't floating above the president's head.

  4. oh god - nancy pelosi's was awful. i would think that "fashion consulting for when i have to sit behing the president for major addresses to congress and the nation" would be somewhere in her budget. as the prg boys would say, "someone needs to fire her gays"

michelle - i really liked the color, and the dress, but the first thing i though was that it was inappropriate for the occasion. it was a big speach in the capital about how we are all going to hell in a handbasket. every other grown woman in the room would be wearing a suit (save for that godawful sweater pelosi thing) sleeves would have been better

i do have to say, michelle looked totally fab in the peter soronen at the first white house black tie dinner. http://projectrungaypagetwo.blogspot.com/2009/02/shelley-o-in-peter-soronen.html
